Dry Curry

Jatek Cosplay as Sakizo's Dry Curry
Desucon 2015

Hullo, I made a new blog again, mainly to keep this one purely photography. I'm not going to delete any of the old posts at least for now, but I'm going to be posting only photography from now on & changing the structure of the posts too - as you can see, one post for one cosplay, for example!
The new blog is named Vitreous Cove and is a lifestyle blog of some sort. I'm not quite sure what it's going to be like yet, feel free to give me ideas.

Actual magic

    Popcult Helsinki, 25.-26.4.2015

The preparation for this convention started in January. Many, many dance practices and sewing sessions later, Popcult Helsinki finally came! Saturday was mostly spent preparing, dancing and photoshooting with our lovely ヒトデ☆アーミー! Our Mahou Live was a great success, and people were so kind and supportive throughout the con. Thank you so much, everyone! Especially my dear Hitodes, who made such an effort for this. We are the true magical girls!

On Sunday I had time to attend some programmes too. There was a lot more I would have wanted to see, but couldn't, which is very rare for a convention. I think Popcult was a great first con, even though of course there's always something you can do better. At some points I got a little bored, because things I'm used to spend time in, like karaoke were missing from the con. However performing, talking to supportive people and buying idol merch made my weekend really worth everything.

Plus I really want a neon sign like that for decoration now! It's from the place where we slept the night with boyfriend. Another funny element in the apartment was a bicycle hanging from the ceiling. How cool is that.

Please look forward to lots of new stuff from ヒトデ☆アーミー!

An untold secret of a friend

Yesterday and the day before yesterday I took an entrance exam to this art school in Tampere. After Wednesday I was totally annoyed, but yesterday we got to do actually nice stuff. I think I'll go into the school if I get in there, because hell, I don't know what else to do with my life!

So, above is my photo series for the photography task (the title of this blogpost was the assignment) and below is my life drawing work. God, the camera I used there felt so much better than my own and god, life drawing is great! Everyone should do it. So, in the end the exam was kinda fun, and the people were really nice. I had no idea there would be so many people so far away, outside of Finland, even.
 We'll see how it went!

Bubbly windows

    Tampere Kuplii, 28.-29.3.2015

Tampere Kuplii was yes nice was. Well, I only was there for like six hours, maybe?
Seriously, what is blogging. I would love to love this but I have absolutely no inspiration. Might be I'll do something radical to my blog again when I have more time. Please, bear with me.

Evolution

This picture is only here to make this post prettier. Now, to the point.

(Mainly because I wanted to post some outfit pictures and selcas,) I decided to do a post about how my style has changed over the years. But apparently I got the pictures totally mixed (thought some 2012 pictures were from 2011), so no pictures before 2012 for you then! It's possibly much better this way.

In 2012 I started the journey to figure out what my actual style is. For a while in 2011 I had wanted to be a lolita because of some of my new gorgeous friends, but I fortunately realized it wasn't for me. However, because of that I became way more girly than I had been in upper comprehensive school. I started wearing skirts and jewelry, woah! For a while I went back to a more laid-back, simple style, but still managed to look kinda cool. My absolute favourite piece of clothing was the dark red chiffon shirt in picture three.

2013 was a great year! My self-esteem was really good, so I made the effort to look good and because of that my self-esteem was good, what a vicious circle. I think I looked good in everything in 2013? And look at all the great hairdos I've had! I would take any of these haircolours back right now. My favourite clothes are not hard to guess. (But if you don't get it, at least it's the space pants.) Back then I also blogged a lot so I really concentrated on looking good and I took and posted way more outfit pictures than ever.

I think compared to 2013 I backfired a bit in 2014. I didn't have as much time or motivation to dress nicely. It can't be seen from the pictures because of course, you don't take pictures if you think you look dull, But these are almost all outfit pictures I have from last year. There was waay more leftover material from 2013. The clothes I wore to school etc were really miscellaneous, I was just kinda trying everything. But like that I feel like I've learned what looks good on me. Maybe. We'll see...

I really hope I can find the motivation again this year and actually look cute! I'm going to force myself to take outfit pictures, if that's what it takes! (*•̀A•́*)و ̑̑

Sayonara, folks.

Feverish Rose

    Desucon Frostbite, 13.-15.2.2015

I had my bad moments at Desucon Frostbite, mainly because most of the time I was freezing, but it was still a very fine convention. The lighting and the mood were great, and Desucon's anime karaoke still manages to amaze me year after year. It's possibly one of the best things I've ever experienced. I'm not going to go into details on what I like and dislike about Desucon (there are a lot of dislikes too, sorry bros, it's cool but not even near to a "perfect con", what is that even?). I'll just give you a couple of pictures and a bunch of text.

More pictures can be found from my Deviantart or Facebook, as usual.

What else should I say? DesuDance is the bestestest. And I should really learn how to dress warmly + not to complain about coldness when I don't. Below you can see my outfit from Saturday and very small but lovely purchases. In addition of those, I did buy some One Piece stuff for boyfriend. With his money, of course. He was very pleased.

I have no idea what my blog post names are supposed to mean, honestly, I just make them up like "I got fever after con and there are roses in the pictures, great."

See ya! ♥

Little something

Today we went to an event called Exchange market. My mom has been arranging it for a while now and the idea is that you can bring your useless stuff and take other people's stuff that you just might need, for free. Seriously, how genius is that.

Instantly after arriving there, I grabbed these three glorious things. I just like plastic stuff, okay?

I also took these shirts, a couple of plates (One for a cat. The plate has a lion on it.) and an electric kettle, because my boyfriend doesn't have one and I really need my tea and noodles.
My little sister also got some really cool stuff like a digibox and a pretty backbag.

I've been feeling a bit off lately. I'm trying to blog more and more lifestyle-kinda stuff, because somehow I think I need it. I feel like I need to talk about myself more. I also hope it'll help me get over the annoying perfectionism when it comes to publishing art and especially photographs. Like, I tried making a post with my outfit pictures throughout the years, and it's not that I'm not satisfied with my face, I am! I'm not satisfied with the pictures and how I edited them and how I built the post.

It may sound weird, but I need blogging as a therapy again. So, anything you'd like to know about me, something I should totally make a blogpost about?

Fluffy kindgom

Yesterday we visited cat cafe Purnauskis with Ronja, Veea and Sonya. They have seven cats living in the cafe, as well as great service & delicious food. What more would you want? It was really nice to sit & chat with friends and even the cafe staff, and the dance practice later was also a lot of fun.

Snow happenings

    Yukicon 2.0, 10.-11.1.2015

The second Yukicon was a bit lame as a convention, to be honest. Or maybe I was just too busy. Anyway, despite that, I had a fun time photoshooting with my friends, organizing the con party at Saturday & enjoying art! Art rules! Artist alleys rule! Above you can see my Risa-cosplay I remade for the con. I'm quite happy about it, but it's too bad there are not many pictures of it.

On Sunday I & Kaisla had a table at the artist alley. Even though I didn't sell much, other artist inspired me to become better! The con also inspired me in another way and started making a lecture about J-pop myself. (¬‿¬)✧ Below you can see the gorgeous print and other stuff I bought / got from the con. One of the highlights for me was talking to Dashiana, and since I had sent this to her I got a lovely Koneko-chan card for free! ;;  More Yukicon pictures can be found here or here!

Do you like this kind of posts more than the ones with only large pictures? Please tell me ♥
